The Comparison between Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy S20 Ultra


The Galaxy S20 Ultra and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra come with ultra-premium features and large screens. Although both these smartphones employ high-end specs, they also have some significantly different specs and features.

The Note 20 Ultra is a more optimized phone due to its better productivity, thanks to its S Pen. The S20 Ultra, on the other hand, is a better general-purpose phone. Both these phones support gaming.

Specs

Price

You can buy the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra at $1299 for 128GB of internal storage. You can opt for the 512GB option, but that will cost you $150 extra.

The Galaxy S20 Ultra is pricier at $1399 for the 128GB variant and $1599 for the 512GB model.

Design

With the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, you get a large screen measuring 6.9 inches. The dimensional measurement of the Note 20 Ultra is 6.48 x 3.04 x 0.32 inches, and it weighs 7.33 ounces. The S20 Ultra, on the other hand, measures 6.6 x 2.7 x 0.34 inches and weighs 7.77 ounces. The Note 20 Ultra comes with a more professional look and is available in three colors: Mystic Black, Mystic White, and Mystic Bronze. The S20 Ultra is available in two colors: Cosmic Black and Cosmic Gray.

Display

Both the Galaxy S20 Ultra and Note 20 Ultra have 6.9-inch screens. Both come with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The Note 20, however, has an advantage as the refresh rate it utilizes is dynamic. It means that this refresh rate can change depending on the type of content on the screen. With the S20 Ultra, you have to toggle between 60Hz and 120Hz manually.

The screen resolution of the Galaxy S20 Ultra is 3200 x 1440 pixels, whereas that of the Note 20 Ultra is 3096 x 1444 pixels. Both these panels are bright, hitting 662 nits.

Cameras


The Note 20 Ultra uses a bit different approach compared to the S20 Ultra in the camera department. The 108MP lens on the rear is the same as that on the S20 Ultra. However, it uses a laser autofocus sensor to help the camera system focus faster. The S20 Ultra doesn’t have this feature.

The S20 Ultra, on the other hand, has a bigger space zoom that can hit 100x. The Note 20 Ultra comes with the 50x digital zoom. Nonetheless, the 5x optical zoom on the Note 20 is better than the 4x optical zoom on the S20 Ultra.

S Pen

The most significant difference between the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and the Galaxy S20 Ultra is the S Pen. This Note 20’s feature allows you to perform a lot of tasks on the go. It also comes with some additional features that make the overall S Pen experience pretty good.

Performance

The Note 20 Ultra comes with a Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset, which is better than the Snapdragon 865 in the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The 865 Plus comes with a clock speed of 3GHz. Its graphics performance is better than the Snapdragon 865 by 10%.

Both these phones come with 12GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. You will have to pay more if you want to upgrade to 512GB.
